Guidelines for Library Program
This program allows any member school's registered students, faculty or staff to check out books from any of our five member institutions' libraries, as well as utilize other unique resources. Please visit the individual links below to learn more about each library's special features. A valid home school I.D. must be presented in order to borrow items from a host location. Please note: HOME school means the school to which you pay tuition or by which you are employed. HOST means the school whose library you are visiting. 	University of Southern Maine Glickman Library
Portland Campus Library Take Maine Turnpike to Exit 6A (I-295 North). From I-295 take Exit 6B onto Forest Avenue - North. After merging onto Forest Avenue cross immediately into the far left lane. Turn left at the 1st light onto Bedford Street. The Library is located at 314 Forest Avenue on the corner of Bedford and Forest. Gorham Campus Library: Bailey Hall Take Maine Turnpike to Exit 6A (I-295 North). From I-295 take Exit 6B onto Forest Avenue - North. Turn left at the 2nd set of lights (Oakhurst Dairy on left). Take a right at the next traffic light onto Route 25 (Brighton Avenue). Proceed down Brighton Ave. until the 6th set of traffic lights, then turn left onto the Westbrook arterial. Turn left at the next set of lights and continue straight on Route 25 into Gorham Village. Turn right at the 2nd set of traffic lights - intersection of Routes 25 & 114 - onto Fort Hill Road (Amato’s on left). Take the first left onto College Avenue, then the first right onto Campus. The Library is the first building on your left, Bailey Hall, and is on the first floor. Lewiston/Auburn Campus Library From the Turnpike (495): Coming from the South, take exit 13. Take a left at the stop sign and then take your first right, headed for Lisbon Falls. Turn left at the second stoplight (Maine Public Broadcasting and the Korn Haus Keller Restaurant will be on your left) onto Westminster Street. Lewiston-Auburn College is a brown cedar-sided building at the top of the hill on the right, next to Ryder Truck. More info about USM libraries Southern Maine Community College Campus Center Library Take Maine Turnpike to Exit 7 (SMCC sign at exit) then left onto Main Street - Route 1 North. Bear right onto Broadway at the 4th set of lights (Cash Corner). Stay on Broadway to very end, about 3.5 miles. Take right onto Pickett Street, it is 200 yards to Campus. 	Maine College of Art Waxman Library
The MECA Library is at 522 Congress St., in the MECA Porteous Building. From Interstate 295 take Exit 7, Franklin Street. Follow Franklin Street until it intersects Congress St. Take a right onto Congress Street. Follow Congress Street through 4 traffic lights about 3/4 mile, and the Maine College of Art is on the left at the next traffic light. The library is on the second floor. More info about MECA library University of New England Ketchum Library - University Campus (Biddeford):  Take Maine Turnpike to Exit 4 (Biddeford), then turn left onto Route 111. Follow Route 111 through the intersection with Route 1 - at the 2nd set of lights - stay in the right lane and proceed straight until you reach the next traffic light. Turn right onto Route 9 (Pool Street), and continue about 4 miles to UNE. The Campus entrance will be on your left and marked with a sign. The Ketchum Library is the second building on the left. Abplanalp Library - Westbrook College Campus (Portland) Take Maine Turnpike to Exit 8, then turn left onto Riverside Street. Proceed to the next set of traffic lights and turn left again (Brighton Ave.). Continue straight on Brighton Avenue until the intersection with Stevens Avenue. Turn left onto Stevens and travel one mile. The entrance to Westbrook Campus is on your left. The entrance to the Abplanalp Library is through the Greek arch at the head of the College green. 	Saint Joseph’s College Wellehan Library
From the south: take the Maine Turnpike to Exit 8 (Portland/Westbrook), bear right at the toll booth (following signs to North Windham) and proceed 1.5 miles to the third traffic light. Turn left onto Route 302 West for 11 miles to North Windham. (At the rotary, be sure to stay on Route 302, which continues halfway through the rotary.) Proceed 3 miles past rotary on 302 to the second traffic light, located at the intersection of Route 35. Take a left onto Route 35 and proceed for 2.3 miles into Standish. Take a right onto White's Bridge Road and continue for about 1.3 miles. The College is on the left. Ask for directions at the security booth or use the campus map (sign) to locate the Wellehan Library. From the north: take the Maine Turnpike to Exit 11 (Gray) and turn left onto Route 115 West toward North Windham. After approximately three miles, Route 115 bears to the right and continues into North Windham. Cross Route 302 and head straight onto Route 35. Proceed for 2.3 miles on Route 35 into Standish. Take a right onto White's Bridge Road and continue for about 1.3 miles. The College is on the left.
